well we'll see how this plays out..but..im just thankful there ARE some chances for showers and/or thunderstorms this coming week huh.

NWS Tampa..(clip from long range disc)......During Thursday and Friday the global
models are having some issues with whether or not the trough will
cutoff or remain an open wave, but either way it does look like a
cold front will approach and move across the region Thursday night
and Friday bringing a decent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Models do cool mid-level temperatures significantly to -10 to -12
Celsius at 500 mb during this time so will need to monitor the
trends as the potential for storms containing hail and gusty winds
will exist. By Saturday some drier air should be moving into the
forecast area. Temperatures will continue to be a few degrees above
normal through Thursday then closer to normal Friday and Saturday.

yes I sure hope the storm has weakened and doesn't throw off any tornado's like it did in texas etc..killed 7 people and sure dumped a lot of rain too...these storms that drop 7-8-9 inches never hits us huh unless a tropical something stalls and sits over us for a day or two.

yeah sure is huh,we did our new roof about 5-6 years ago,company said we should be good for quite awhile..came out real good too but yeah, real expensive.when you DO go for the new roof..go with quality materials,it lasts so much longer gomey even though it costs more..its worth it in the long run,we took the 20 year materials..i'll be long gone before it needs to be replaced I guess.

* Tornado Warning for...
Southern Pickens County in west central Alabama...
Northwestern Sumter County in west central Alabama...

* Until 1215 PM CDT

* At 1127 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Cooksville, or 15 miles southwest of
Aliceville, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

this is a dangerous storm front..folks up in the panhandle and north of there..stay alert and safe ok...

severe possibilities with this storm front....hopefully this will indeed weaken as it moves eastward and northeastward,we surely don't need it in Florida huh but I'm guessing parts of the panhandle we get some.

well I will surely welcome a 50-50 chance for a shower here by me today............

you folks up in northern florida and Georgia, this storm system has already killed 13 people as its moving seat and north..gome stay really alert today and tomorrow up there ok..dozens injured and tornado's ruined lives and homers etc..stay safe folks.

well some gulf coastal showers (small) developing way down in southwest florida..all heading northward,guess that's the story today..all heading northward..I guess we here in central florida wait to see what comes our way tomorrow huh..suns full out here by me and its warm and humid,you can just tell summer isn't That far away huh

So sad...it's fizzling on out. Even had a little peak of sunshine for 2 seconds. It is nasty humid out.

Click "home" and you should see a widget titled "Florida Blog" you can click on along with latest topics in the top left corner (at least from my laptop).

well if Nam verifies,we get a fast thin line of storms tomorrow as the front moves downstate Tuesday, this front wasn't supposed to be a good rain maker..the one on Friday is supposed to be stronger,guess I have to remember OUR rainy season hasn't started yet,a few more months to go gee.

I see our florida east coast area's are getting some 29-30mph wind gusts over there,sure must be a strong storm system up north of Florida, luckily its moving up to new England and not down here.

I'd just like to mention, there ARE scattered showers around INLAND Florida as I write this,none by me so far,its just after 1pm now. good luck to those who catch some rain.
