Well it has been a delightful weekend. Around 80, low humidity and sunny. Probably the last one.

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
329 AM EDT Mon May 8 2017
.SHORT TERM...
High pressure will remain in full control of the weather
once again across west-central and SW Florida. H5 heights
continue to rise as mid-level ridge builds over the state.
Monday will be even warmer than Sunday as temps look like
they will reach the 90 degree mark across the interior with
upper 80s elsewhere...mid 80s right along the coast with
predominant onshore flow. Same story on Tuesday with mainly
clear skies although more widespread 90+ degree temps seem
likely.
Similar to previous days, the airmass will remain very dry
the next few days causing fire weather concerns across the
area. See the fire weather section below for more details.
.LONG TERM...
The 500 mb omega block is forecast to slowly break down
through the week. The closed low centered near southern
San Diego will slowly fill then move across the lower
Mississippi Valley as an open wave. This wave moves off the
Carolina`s Saturday with vorticity trailing across central
Florida Saturday night. Models/WPC have weak cool front into
north Florida Saturday morning then exiting south Florida
Sunday morning. Will time small chances of showers and
thunderstorms accordingly.

.UPDATE...
High pressure remains over the area producing rain-free conditions
once again today. Temperatures will warm up this afternoon to around
seasonal average with highs in the mid 80`s along the coast and
upper 80`s to around 90 over the inland counties. The only weather
impacts expected today is with lingering smoke with the wildfire in
Pasco County and Red Flag fire conditions which I will discuss
below. No changes needed to the forecast at this time.

Re: 4/16/17 Florida/Alabama Weather Blog
They are making some headway with the fire Largo. It was up to 70% contained this morning. As long as the wind doesn't pick up, they should be able to cut it off completely.
I think the biggest fear was Saturday, when the wind was so bad and they thought it might jump to the east side of the toll road.

Good afternoon all. Monday is in the books and now some relaxation time before dinner.
Gomey is near the Mobile, AL area a short drive from Pensacola, FL. No fire issues for him since he had more rain last week than we have had all year! His locale is pretty much the rain capitol of the USA and has no true dry season.
