northeast of Wauchula, moving northeast at 40 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...

Bradenton, Plant City, Winter Haven, Haines City, Bartow, Punta
Gorda, Lake Wales, Auburndale, Palmetto, Sebring, Avon Park, Arcadia,

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause

First storm dropped a tad more than I was hoping for. The gauge had .71". Some light showers moved back in an hour or so ago. Might be up to .85". Latest HRRR shows a band of 1-2" moving through late afternoon/evening. Unfortunately for waterdipper it keeps the Nature Coast relatively dry. But, it updates hourly so we shall see.

WD the front is "supposed" to stall for awhile over northern florida, hopefully you'll get some good rains then before it slowly heads southward down the state..good luck ok.

its been quite awhile since we have had anything like this..getting almost the whole state over days and days huh..AND its not over either. rain had started again here by me..suns gone again..which might be a good thing..we don't need any heating to make these storms stronger.

Anyone still have those Fires in their area's? all this rain should be helping put them out huh

JR they were alreaqdy mentioning the Zika virus on baynews9, I think I saw it last week..and man after This event with all the puddles around the Skeeters will be having a breeding party huh

Today looks a tad drier. Should see more sun. Stay dry all

Yes, pretty much got the computer up and running, thanks for asking!

Had a very brief downpour this morning, only 1/4 inch in the gauge. Everything is sopping, soaking wet. It is WAY worse out west of me though. They must not drain as well as we do on the east side of the county. The Sawgrass Mills Mall (which is a HUGE outlet mall and never closed) is on it's second day of closure because the parking lot is so flooded.
In many cities out west, the side streets are impassable, neighborhoods cut off.
The sun is out here. Let's see if we can make it the rest of the day without rain!

Morning John,yes yesterday I got a lot of rain, don't know how much but I know it was close to 2 inches, maybe more..had one real bad storm here..Largo just finished picking up the big tree branch that covered the street here...suns out now finally...have a great day ok.
