Good morning everyone! I hope y'all are enjoying this fantastic weather we are having. No rain around these parts, but that is to be expected this time of year. Have a great weekend!

It has been awesome. Been opening up the slider all day every day with highs in the low 80's and lows near 60. Inside temp cools to 71-72 after opening up in the morning then does get a little warm late afternoon at 79. I refuse to turn on the AC though!

Looking at the GFS on Levi's page there is nothing of significance rain-wise anytime soon. My area has a low chance of some showers tomorrow.

If anyone enjoys snow you'd have to take a short-term trip to northern Minnesota or the northern Rockies. Nothing really in the forecast snow-wise east of the Mississippi the next 10 days.

Might get to pluck some lemons off my tree this weekend. They are about ready but a low yield this year with only 20'ish. I had several hundred last year but had to prune off the heaviest producing limbs due to all the weight of the fruit bending them down to the ground.

I hear you on the tree trimming. I have several palms too tall for me to get to myself and need to hire a trimmer. Last guy I had was very reasonable. $25/tree. I had 7 to get done. He also hauled off all the debris which was very nice versus having a mess on the curb.

Good morning. Not much to report here other than there was relatively dense fog for the first time in many months but it is slowly lifting.

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
830 AM EST Sun Nov 5 2017

.FOR THE MORNING UPDATE...
Widespread dense fog currently over portions of west central
Florida and the nature coast will lift by mid morning. Fog
has already begun to lift across Desoto and Hardee counties
where the fog depth was rather shallow. With northeast
boundary layer flow across the region, last areas to see low
clouds/fog lift this morning will likely be over the the
nature coast and Polk counties where depth is
greatest...where it could be delayed until the late morning
hours.

Skies will become partly cloudy by this afternoon with
continued warm dry conditions across the entire forecast
area with temperatures climbing into the lower to mid 80s.

I'm guessing the folks who live year round in Buffalo are quite used to these storm fronts, living on the edge of the great lakes, every front that comes across the lakes has some kind of storm with it. and COLD weather is the norm up there pretty soon.

Hi guys. We're back! And it wasn't too bad for most of it.40's mostly, did get into 30's on Friday night/Saturday am, but by that point we'd had many adult beverages lol. Thursday was sweater weather even! Curious to see if bad weather makes it there later. Even though we had to get up at 4:30 am, I was happy to be getting out of there early this morning.

Anyone around for Hurricane Elena in 1985? Happened just before I moved into the area but looks like it was a pretty scary time for Tampa Bay.  Storm was cruising through the Gulf heading for Mississippi when it took a sudden turn right at Florida.  90% of Pinellas county evacuated in 9 hours, that must have been a sight.  But the storm stopped offshore and stayed there for 48 hours as a Cat 3, then turned completely around and slammed into Mississippi - where it was intended to go in the first place.

Good afternoon.  Props on being active Largo.  I was doing well last year walking 4-5 miles a day on average but fell off the wagon this year with some work and life stuff going on.  I'd jog but blew out a knee in college which swells with fluid from the added force on the pavement.

I'm on the opposite coast StPete but wasn't here in 1985.  I moved down in 1997.  My first scare was Floyd. Very unusual track for Elena.

Special Weather Statement
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
323 AM EST Wed Nov 8 2017

...Areas of fog and low clouds forming southeast of Interstate 4...

At 323 AM...surface observations and high resolution satellite
imagery showed an area of fog and low clouds forming along and
east of a line from Lake Kissimmee to Harmony...Midway and Edgewater.
Lower visibilities appear to be more widespread near the coast in
southeastern Volusia and northern Brevard Counties...and also over
Okeechobee County. Farther south...along the Space and Treasure
Coasts...the fog was mainly west of Interstate 95...but spreading
east toward the coast.

Through sunrise...expect visibilities to drop below one mile across
many locations...especially in Brevard...Osceola...Okeechobee...
Indian River...Saint Lucie and Martin Counties...as well as over
easternmost Seminole and Orange Counties...and southeastern Volusia
County.

my local met was mentioning Florida's coming winter season..it seems La-Nina will be in full swing in the Pacific and OUR winter weather will be Warmer and drier..we may if this verifies, have a bad spring fire outlook..you know how it is when the woods are very dry..well many months before we get to that huh..i wonder if WE will be breaking High temp records like they are doing in Texas  already...http://www.weather.gov/media/tbw/topnews/ENSO_Winter_2017_2018.pdfhttp://www.weather.gov/media/tbw/topnews/ENSO_Winter_2017_2018.pdf

The woods are already dry up here Largo. I deer hunt and I am currently able to hunt the swamps along the Suwannee River without getting my feet wet. We are currently 15 inches below normal rainfall for the year. Outside of Irma's 5 inches, I only got 1 more inch in September, and I only got 1.5" in October. Fire weather is going to break out early if we don't get some relief. The outlook for the rest of Fall and Winter are dry and warmer than average. However, local NWS thinks we will have an average number of freezes this year so that will increase the fuel for even more dangerous conditions coming into the fire season in late winter early spring.
