Does it come in different colors?  There is a house down the road from me that has a white, I guess rubber, sheet on the roof. I thought it was underlayment but it's been months and they haven't shingled.  Must be what you are talking about, I bet white would be a good reflector for the Florida Sun.

Rain chance about for tomorrow evening

St.Pete,
Yes they do have different colors I asked.
My guy told me white is the best color its the cheapest. Better reflection and should keep house cooler. The other colors are tan, green and off brown. EXPENSIVE
At least 1/3 more and less energy efficient.

Thanks JR for the rain wishes. Gosh, I can't picture being on call 365/24/7. Good to see that you know to take care of your self too!

Wow, all this information on rubber roofing is so interesting. How I wish I knew of these in 2006! Smile

Thanks for the weather info Largo. I'll be getting my errands done early tomorrow. My son flies out of town for a bowling tournament tomorrow, good thing it's an early morning flight.

Aircraft zipping all over the place today. The Air Show does a special performance for the School kids on Friday so they've been all around this afternoon. Nothing like sitting at one's desk and a F-18 comes screeching overhead.

TGIF

Good luck on your roofing John.  HOA probably wouldn't allow those here.

Rain chances have been cut in half here this weekend.  We shall see what happens.  No significant chance of development from the disturbance. Yellow X is less than 40%. In this case (as of now) 0%

Bahamas and southern Florida through this weekend.  Please monitor
products from your local weather office for more details.  No
additional Special Outlooks on this system will be issued unless
conditions warrant.

Hi y'all...   I enjoyed reading back this afternoon, it was all very interesting.

I'm going to be SOL with the rain chances.  I checked the 12Z GFS earlier and it just blows me off!   Largo, my NWS rain chance is a big fat 0 for tomorrow, so you must be getting lucky.

LOL, BillsFan. My parents home is across the hwy from the navy air-base in Jax. Lots of flight training while growing up. Mostly P2's doing touch-and-go's (come in for a landing, touch down, then speed up and take off again), batches of planes circling round and round, and round and round, .... When the tankers or fighters came thru, it certainly woke you up a bit!

So bummed on the rain. Was looking forward to Sunday and having a rainy day. Very interesting info on rubber roofs. I ran it past my hubby and he said it was first used in commercial/industrial buildings. Who knew. Great idea to reclaim old tires. I haven’t seen any white tires though.
