LMAO Aug!
That could be an authentic forecast based upon how frequently that occurs! NOT getting the "split" is more of a surprise than getting it.

2.28 inches showing on the gauge now here in Spring Hill. I noticed that alot of the rain is not soaking in, as the ground is very hard. Seems that alot of the water is headed down the road to the retention pond. I sure hope Largo and all those south of us get this needed rain. Phil

Largo,
The wind was only gusting here and there. The rain was driving down though. As Phil said, it was coming down at such a high rain rate that it was running off. I had to go out and sweep the mulch off of my sidewalk leading up to my front door. It was covered.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
...FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
The front that produced some rainfall across the region on
Saturday has pushed away from the area. Fairly dry conditions will
persist behind the front. Brief periods of relative humidity
falling to or below 35 percent can be expected for only a couple
of hours, but light winds should prevent red flag conditions. Hot
and dry conditions return for much of this coming week across the
region.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
...FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
A ridge of high pressure will build over the region creating above
normal temperatures and dry weather through much of the week. The
prevailing dry soils across interior portions of central and
southwest Florida will remain ripe for ignition of brush and
wildfires.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for West Central And Southwest
Florida.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
...FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...

I use this site. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ridge2/RFC_Precip/
Heaviest rains were coastal WCFL then extended to the ENE towards Daytona with lighter amounts the further east you go.
