Good morning all. I haven't posted in a while. Been extremely busy with work following Irma. Weather has been really benign here since the storm. Temps have been very hot and it has been muggy, but I have had little to no rainfall. It is so dry it is starting to look like we maybe going into another drought here. Time will tell. Fall temps have finally made an appearance the last two days however. Yesterday was a nice breezy day with a high of 76, while this AM it got down to 56, by far our coolest morning of the season so far. Looking at next weeks forecast we might just get our first taste of 40's. Anyway hope everyone gets the weather they are hoping for.

It would be nice as mentioned if the rains make it to California. It's that time of year. Hope they have an encore of last years wet season.

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
Rip currents: High risk of rip currents along the Palm Beaches.
Moderate risk of rip currents along the Miami-Dade and Broward
beaches.
Thunderstorms: Isolated thunderstorms are possible today. The
primary impacts will be lightning strikes, brief heavy rain, and
gusty winds.
Waterspouts: Waterspouts will be possible over the coastal waters of
South Florida today.
Flooding: The new moon along with the increasing winds may bring
coastal flooding during high tides along the Atlantic coast,
particularly along coastal Palm Beach County.
Waves: Seas up to 7 feet expected in the Gulf Stream waters off Palm
Beach County.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
Strong high pressure will build in behind the front late week,
leading to increasing northeasterly winds and deteriorating
conditions over the local marine areas. There will also be an
elevated risk for rip currents along the Atlantic beaches.
The new moon along with the increasing winds may bring coastal
flooding during high tides along the Atlantic coast over the next
several days.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Widespread spotter activation is not anticipated, however individual
spotters are encouraged to report flooding and waterspouts to the
National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.

Good morning everyone...
There wasn't a cloud in the sky at 8:00 am. Now it is mostly cloudy out. I listen to a Palm Beach radio station and they say they have torrential rain just sitting over them. Glad it isn't here!

Good afternoon. Just getting done with work then need to log in again from 9pm - 1am. Time to eat and relax for 3 hours.
Looks like a strong front is coming next week. First real taste of true fall. Might have some severe weather with it. We shall see.

Well, not good in my mindset at all. Wilma was down there, festering. Then then the cold front swept her into us. The time frame date wise is really close. Haven't looked. Not named yet. Please no female name ending in A

Re: CLOSED 9-17-17 FLORIDA/ALABAMA BLOG
NWS Alabama...........LONG TERM /Monday Through Thursday/...A series of cold fronts
move across the central Gulf coast next week. As southern stream
mid level system ejects eastward over the deep south on Monday, the
first front makes passage late Monday morning. Chances of showers
remain high along with a few embedded storms. Rain chances lower
Monday night. A more pronounced deep layer trof digs southward
into the deep south late Tuesday bringing a reinforcing, dry,
secondary cold frontal passage through the area. It is this
boundary that brings much lower deep layer thicknesses and cold
air advective processes in its wake Wednesday morning where lows
look to dip into the mid 40s over the interior and mid 50s coast.
Latest gridded high temperatures for Wednesday look to come in
some 5 to 10 degrees below climatology in the mid 60s interior to
near 70 coast. Wednesday night lows could lower into the 40s all
the way down to I-10, while beach areas closer to 50. Highs on
Thursday 67 to 71 area-wide. /10
