Gimme Three Steps
Normally I would just make a forecast.
Since I am more in the mood to have some fun ,I thought I'd explain my way of looking at the tropics...
So Today I give you an insight as to how I forecast the tropics.
Lets use today 6/8/2013
First:
I look at the National hurricane Center site for their latest analysis.
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATWDAT+shtml/082325_MIATWDAT.shtml?
I get their idea on things and let it bounce around the cranium.
Second:
I look at the satellite images and read the atmosphere and create my own models in my head, that takes a lot less time than all them computers crunching numbers and spitting out graphics.
Third:
Wind Shear and wind analysis
I use this to help forecast whether or not any suspect area has a chance and how much of a chance.
and the tendency..
From these three things I determine if I need to go farther
So gimme three steps Mister, gimme three steps towards the door........
So my forecast for the next few days would be...
Andrea should head off to the Northeast losing tropical characteristics. The area in the Southern Gulf should be watched so we get no surprises. I have seen storms in the early season like Alberto develop even under high shear.. Other than that the tropics are quiet...
