How does Gomey survive a Tropical Storm?

Our story takes place in a little town in Alabama.  This is where we meet up with our friend Gome.  Today we join Gome as he has opened up his doors to share with us a day in his normal (yeah right) life.

Gome gets up early and starts the morning coffee.

After coffee, he turns on the television   to find he has storm coming.  He thinks to himself that a trip to the local Walmart may be in order for supplies.  He had just finished his new indoor shower  and thought this would be a good time to see if it worked.  

Now that our friend Gome is dressed, and drinking his juice (yeah, okay) he makes his way to the store.

Gome is lucky today he found the perfect parking spot for his vehicle.

After grabbing all his necessary supplies, he realized he forgot the most important thing.  

Now that Gome’s shopping is done, it’s time to prepare for the storm.  First on his list is to get all the plants that are hanging inside. oh and he almost forgot his most prized possession.

Now that he has cleaned up the yard, he thinks he should mow, since it will probably be a mosh pit, after the storm moves through.  At least according to his favorite forecaster, STS, he’ll get dumped on.  So, out he goes to the yard….


After finishing the outside prep, he heads inside, to do the emergency prep stuff.  This is the important life sustaining preparation…   You MUST have plenty of liquid to drink, while the power is out.  He stocks as much as he can….  
.  At this point, Gomey is getting kinda hungry.  He figures he should probably start eating from the freezer, in the event he loses power.  He roots around in there, and finds his favorite hot dogs, so he takes out enough for his lunch, and throws them over the fire…  

Gomey feels much better after his lunch, but realized he never made anything for his wife, who will be home soon.  So Gome goes back to prepping lunch for her.   Rooting through the cabinets for the mixer, he can’t seem to find all the pieces.   Gome scratches his head and thinks.  He’s found the perfect solution for his needs.  Goes to the garage and comes in with a smile on his face.   “Perfect”  He thinks to himself. Just what I needed.   Gome can now make his famous cornbread that his wife loves.  Let the mixing commence.

Hmmm, Gome thinks to himself, what would my wife like to have with her cornbread.   He still had a couple of hotdogs left. They will be the first to go if he loses power.   So onto the grill they go.  


The next 24 hours go by, without any issues.  Gomey was ahead of the game, and had nothing to do, but relax, and his way of relaxing is piddling with his car restoration.  He went and piddled around with the restore, and was quite proud of himself, by the end of the day, as he had been challenged with a big repair job…  

The outer bands of the storm, started to move in.  His wife still had to go to work, as Wal Mart stays open, regardless of the weather conditions.  He walked her out to her car, and closed her sunroof….  , he also needed to make sure her windshield wipers were working correctly and off she went, to work.

Gome was happy with what he accomplished so far today and decided to take a break.   He turned back on the television and saw that there was a race going on.    Gome always enjoyed watching the races in his favorite laz-y-boy.  His only issue was he hated to get up during the race to go to the bathroom.  He always seemed to miss the best part of the race. So he came up with another great idea.  After a few modifications, he sat down in his new and improved laz-y-boy and commenced to watching the race.

Not long after sitting down, he was thirsty.  He did not want to bust into his high dollar stuff, so he ran out to the backyard, and grabbed his jug…  he was gonna shine tonight…  

It had been so long, since he had the opportunity to kick back, and have a cocktail, he forgot how potent each drink could be.  The poor boy, had the biggest damn headache, and the storm was blasting in, around him.  He knew that he needed to get some food in his belly, but the power was out.  All of a sudden, the rain and wind stopped…… the lightbulb went off, in his head , “I have a grill, I can eat like a King.”  He ran to the freezer, grabbed some Prime steaks, and fired up the grill….

The wind started roaring and there was a great big crash. Gomey turns around and this is what he found.  He thanks his lucky stars and frees her from the bushes. After she's freed, he takes her into the house and decides one more drink wouldn't hurt anything. He goes to the kitchen for his drink and when he comes back, he is shocked to find  

Come on....you didn't really think he was going to be that lucky, did you?

We would like to thank Gome for opening his doors to us today.  We tried to thank him personally but he wasn't around.  So for now we will just have to let do with watching him ride into the sunset.

That one has Aug written all over it. LOL But he has a good idea. E may have to be next. Already have an idea just have to get my head wrapped around it and see how we can make it work.

Maybe we can start with something like this..............

San began her Saturday by awaking from a deep slumber.



After stirring around for a bit, she met Heidi at the gym for a workout.



After the workout it was time to eat a good lunch.



I said a good lunch, not a healthy one.  Feeling guilty, San drove to the beach to walk off some of those calories.....

well well well..... I guess Aug just cemented himself, as the next subject!!!!!

You on the other hand have taken the keys to the bus and am presently driving it all over Florida. LOL
