Wisp Wonders

Sometimes just a wisp of a cloud can create fascinating weather phenomena. Today was one of those days.I was sitting in a lawn chair having my morning coffee and feeding the fish in the Koi pond when I looked up and noticed a rainbow. The sky was blue the sun was shining and I had a rainbow but it wasn't a rainbow it was a "Virgabow" . Virga is the name used for rain that never touches the ground so it's only fitting to call what I saw a "Virgabow" I thought for a second ..how cool is this? Then wham it hit me a person would be lucky to see a rainbow from a wisp of a cloud once in a lifetime..I ran inside grabbed a camera so I could share it with all here at "Thunderbolt Weather"
