Re: CLOSED New Florida Weather Blog (and Mobile!)
Morning. Great weekend on tap here. Mid 80's for highs and upper 50's for lows with low dew points. My motto is - it's not the humidity, it's the dew point which makes the heat uncomfortable. Not this weekend!

Re: CLOSED New Florida Weather Blog (and Mobile!)
It's a new month and this blog is getting a little long in the tooth. Think I'll start a new Florida/Bama blog. For weather interests outside FL (ie: the moderate severe weather risk for TX/LA tomorrow), check out sans. Gomey has astronomy blogs and others.

NWS MIAMI...........Sun Apr 2 2017
...A Few Thunderstorms Possible Over the Interior This Afternoon...
...Fog Across the Interior and Gulf Coast This Morning...
This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
Thunderstorms: Isolated thunderstorms are possible as the seabreezes
collide over the interior this afternoon and evening.
Visibility: Fog will continue to develop across interior and Gulf
coast areas of South Florida through daybreak this morning. Local
visibilities may be reduced to a quarter of a mile in isolated spots
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
Gusty southeast winds will lead to less than favorable boating
conditions over the Atlantic and an increased threat for rip
currents along the east coast beaches early this week, and again
late week.
A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the
interior with the seabreeze collision each afternoon, with better
chances on Thursday as a stronger frontal boundary approaches the
region.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today.
For more information...visit the National Weather Service in
Miami website at www.weather.gov/miami.
