Good deal on the E.Coast rains. I'm with Largo here -- Whew! Maybe the clouds will fill in a bit as the sun loses its punch.
Free weekend here. Mrs.JR and daughter landed in MN today for a wedding.
Gonna hit the beach early tomorrow, on Largo time. See what I can see of Perseid.
And maybe I can get the grand-dog to handle more than just 2 miles given the morning temps.

Good morning y'all!
Nice flow shift overnight brought me early morning rains. Dumped 1.22" out of the gauge and looks like another little line has organized nicely just offshore. It should bring everyone in the area a nice shower this morning.

No worries here Largo. That map with the yellow X was from yesterday and 99L will be passing 500 miles east.
Good luck on the rain. Take a picture of the shelf cloud. Those are awesome to look at.

Deeper radar contours seem to be waning overall but still some healthy echoes near Largo extending NE towards west central Pasco.

Good morning, All.
Was on Largo time this morning. Kicked back in the truck bed toward the NE, at 5am. Only caught 5 meteorites, but one was long track -- 5 degrees left of Venus, going right to about 2/3 of the way to Orion. Not too shabby for Pinellas County viewing.
Cool lightning shot coming out of San's storm. 2-3 second, ~2 degree wide blue shimmering shaft. Wow!
Then sunrise.
Finally, experiencing the storms rolling in. Was hoping for the trifecta of a morning bow. I think it was close, but no cigar.

Thanks, San. I got lucky. Sometimes plans actually work out. It could have easily been a washout. I protected my night vision (no lights or electronics, sunglasses on), so didn't know what to expect, especially seeing the lighting on the drive out.
Nice rain here at home now. If I can snag at least half an inch and keep the clouds around for the heat of the day ---- perfect.

NFL here. For college, I kinda keep up with Florida, SEC and old SWC teams. Throw in MN and WI. Don't care enough to watch a full game, except maybe USF or UF vs UGA, FSU. FL/GA game for sure.

LMAO Largo. We have a few interesting emoticons in the gallery for sure.
Bills - if gomey takes an eclipse break perhaps he can send you a college fantasy football invite if you're interested.
Had .02" here earlier from a spit. Clouds are attempting to build a few miles west. There are some storms to my south and the seabreeze is moving through. Hoping something pops a little further north but I estimate it has an hour to do something otherwise onward to manana.
