Good afternoon.  I had a good cell too Largo.  Gauge looks to be around 1.6".  Storm was severe warned but no severe conditions here.  Just heavy rain, some gusty winds for a spell, and quite a bit of lightning.  Here are a couple of pics.  First was right before the bottom fell out.  I've seen enough storms to know when the sky looks like that it is about to unleash. Edit: 2nd pic looks terrible. Lightning was too close to open the slider so the screen was in the way.

well its just after 6am and already high clouds with a lot of thunder and Lighting off the coast,its going to be one of those days folks..early storms here when they come ashore...stay safe folks..that lighting is really dangerous huh..yep just boomed again.

No rainfall for me yesterday. There were some hefty totals inland however. Lots of 3-5" readings with some localized 6"+ from Ocala northward to Lake City and then east to the Atlantic Coast. Today looks quite similar, just less storms in the NE Gulf so far.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
A deep layer of moist southerly flow will produce scattered to
numerous lightning storms this afternoon into early this evening.
Convection will initiate near the coast along the east and west
coast sea breezes by early afternoon. Then storm coverage will
increase over the interior counties late this afternoon associated
with boundary collisions, from Orlando metro southward across
Osceola and Okeechobee counties. These boundary interactions over
the interior will produce a few strong storms, containing winds
gusts up to 50 mph, small hail, frequent lightning strikes, and
very heavy rainfall. Some of these storms will push back to the
coast this evening especially south of the Cape.

.FLOOD IMPACT...
Locally heavy rain accumulating up to 4 inches will cause
temporary flooding of some roads and low lying areas. The
greatest threat for heavy rain will be from Orlando metro area
southward to Lake Okeechobee and over the coast from late
afternoon through early evening.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
A small east swell will generate a moderate rip current threat
along the beaches of east central Florida. Always swim within
sight of a lifeguard.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Scattered to numerous lightning storms are expected to develop
this afternoon and early evening as the east and west coast sea
breeze boundaries push inland and collide over the east side of
the peninsula. A few strong storms are expected over the interior
counties that will affect some of the inland lakes. The storms
will push back toward the coast, mainly south of the Cape, toward
sunset. Gusty winds of 35 to 40 knots and frequent lightning
strikes will be the primary hazards.

.FOR THE MORNING UPDATE...
High pressure surface and aloft remains over west central
and southwest Florida. Weak south to southwest boundary
layer flow is across the forecast area. The 12Z TBW
sounding is typical for mid July with very light winds/weak
shear aloft and deep relatively narrow cape which is
conducive for locally heavy rainfall. Slow storm movement
through the day will also promote risk for locally heavy
rain. Some drier air aloft evident between 30H-50H may
create risk for downburst winds with an isolated stronger
storm.

Atmosphere is convectively unstable, and surface heating
combined with development of west coast sea breeze boundary
as flow becomes increasingly onshore will cause scattered
to numerous showers and thunderstorms to develop over the
coastal counties this morning. The shower/thunderstorm
activity will increase in areal coverage and spread inland
during the early/mid afternoon hours. Current zones are on
track with no update planned.

evening. Some of these storms will push back to the coast this
evening especially south of the Cape.

A few strong storms will develop...containing winds gusts up to 50

localized area over U.S. 1 about 7 miles southwest of Flagler
Beach.

Good afternoon. Glad a few received good rains. Yesterday was great with 1.64" but today disappointed. 70% chance but only isolated cells at best (none near me)

No rain for me today. All around me, but none here.

I got teased most of the morning with the offshore thunder and finally managed to get a little in the gauge. .15"

Well all I had to do to get the shields down was to go to Home Depot and pick up some supplies for an afternoon project outside the house. As soon as I got started a pop-up storm built up right over me. Thirty minutes and 1 inch of rain later I was able to start my project. That was the best rainfall I have had in some time.
