LOL Aug it IS very slowly drifting nortn, but the heavier rains still staying offshore

This has been a great day for me here. Friday? 3 miles away was a deluge -- me nothin. Sat? 2 miles away was a deluge -- me nothin. (damn spellcheck keeps adding the g, which I don't want!!) It's been drippy all day so far. .5 in 6 hours. I did get the sprinklers fixed yesterday, but they'll be off for a bit now. Think I'll be at the beach this afternoon.

The perfect example of a Nice Shower, just passed thru. Another quarter inch in 5 or so minutes.

well it came down pretty good a lil while ago..that bunch of storms is moving northward now...

JR I think that heavier rain just might reach you in awhile..comes down good for a half hour or so.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are currently affecting the
Treasure Coast...including Okeechobee County. Showers and storms are
also starting to develop in Brevard County and are generally moving
towards the north. Heavy downpours are possible
and localized flooding may occur in some areas. Cloud to ground
lightning is occurring in a few of the stronger storms.

Isolated showers are developing in the Orlando area...and Lake and
Volusia counties. Extensive cloud cover this morning and early
afternoon has limited much of the potential for thunderstorm
development. Still...an isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out
this afternoon.

A large area of light to moderate rain will likely develop
over much of east central Florida late this afternoon
into the evening.

I made it back here from my home computer! YAY
We haven't gotten any rain since early this morning, in fact, sun came out.
And yesterday, while technically my area was included in the flood watch, we were south of the heavy action. We went shopping at the Walmart grocery store in a city called Pompano and it started to pour right when we were leaving. That area and north of it were likely flooding pretty bad.

well NOAA is saying might get stormy by me and gulf coast sometime Tuesday..........

just after 2 30pm and rains coming down real heavy here by me again now.............

wow that last storm really Poured down rain here..i should be over an inch now for sure....that was a real Down pouring rain,heavy...guess it's heading northward now..good luck up there

The latest Euro QPF forecast.  DP(Denis Phillips) posted it about an hour ago, so I'm guessing it is from the 12Z. Sorry it cuts off the northern and southern part of the state, but that's all he posts. :-)

No rain here today and chances for tomorrow have been cut in half. I'm beginning to have some doubts locally. Good luck to everyone else. Glad to see some folks have cashed in a little.

At least auto-correct can't handle nuttin! Sorry that you missed out on the rains I got today. It was a good day for me today. Zero work; brunch with friends; couple of hours on a beach hike; ended with 1.8" of casual rain; relatively cool and bug-free evening out back. Nice finish to the week.

I've noticed tons of baby frogs over this week. Seems like more than normal. Seen 2 large fist sized toads roaming around (a few are normal -- they like the front patio and the banana trees). Anything that eats bugs, I'm good with.

I don't usually pop on here at this time (I've been working awhile already), but the frogs are singing and so am I.  Doesn't this just look purdy?!?!?!

The rainy season has yet to start at my place. No rainfall over the weekend for me. I'm not surprised as the rainy season where I am at is typically several weeks behind Central FL and we even lag behind inland North FL. This type of rain event is kind of unusual for June and usually doesn't occur until later in the summer, so maybe this is an omen of a good, wet season. Looks like tonight and tomorrow might be a good chance I get some rain. My fingers are crossed.

good morning WD...that surely would be a good thing..a wet season...get us out of this drought we are in state wide..well ive gotten an inch or more yesterday into this morning..im happy and best of all..so far no severe winds.

well it sure seems like this will be going on most of the day here huh.........................

ok catching a break from the steady rains now..more to come from the gulf in awhile..

well an inch overnight and now already a half inch this morning,im a happy camper lol..man we sure needed this here...and we lucked out so far..no severe stuff huh..just a help with our drought and..its the good kind of rain I was hoping for..the slow steady kind that soaks in, not all runoff..now they are talking about much heavier rains tomorrow and Wednesday..and a small chance on any severe thunderstorms...I always watch out for storms coming IN from the gulf..there's always the chance for a land falling waterspout turned tornado huh...hopefully that wont happen

has anyone seen any road flooding etc?....not around here by me so far.

I guess i'd better walk my dogs now,before that huge blob of rain gets here in the gulf..BBL..
