Re: CLOSED Tropical Season heats up for Florida/Alabama
Good morning everyone!
Yes, emcf used to be active here in the blog but life is busy for him these days.
It would not be a surprise to see something form down in the Carib - we generally see more western Carib/GOM systems during October.
The thing that is the issue with part of the Carib is the high shear - this is pretty normal for this time of year in that part of the Carib, hence the "graveyard."

Morning. I wonder where Scott landed. He had that alpha male personality and has to be floating around on some weather site unknown to us. I can't see him not participating somewhere. As to "E" (emcf30) as we called him, posting on weather sites has taken a back seat to more important matters.
Looks like a potential brief local nor'easter sets up here tomorrow with the potential for heavy rain. We shall see how it unfolds.

Good morning! Thanks for the weather and people updates!
Lol on Scott! Definitely the Alpha personality. I used to love it when he’d get into spats with the clique over on WU!
I hope you’re right about shear San!

well it would be a good thing IF..this coming storm went over those High Mountains in Cuba..weakened, then became a good rainmaker for SE Florida, a place that hasnt been getting the good rains yet,,thats a possibility i would think.

Happy October everyone. The heat has been relentless with no break in sight - is this normal? Our pool is 98! Seems like there might be some mischief brewing and it’s not Halloween related... we shall see.
