Re: Late January through February outlook
Thanks Largo. I'm not expecting much wind here. It's more along the beaches which are 10+ miles to my east.
The day started out sunny but now socked in with clouds with temps at a cool 61. They'll probably hold steady throughout the day but not much drop tonight with a low of 56.

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
355 AM EST Sun Feb 10 2019
.DISCUSSION (Today-Saturday)...
Mid/upper level ridging will hold across the Florida peninsula
into Monday then a trough will swing through the eastern U.S.
Tuesday into Wednesday. Meanwhile at the surface the stalled
boundary across the area will begin to lift north as a warm front
as high pressure over the Mid-Atlantic states this morning moves
out into the Atlantic Ocean tonight and Monday. This will shift
the band of clouds and showers over the central Florida peninsula
at this time northward across the Nature Coast during today and
out of the area tonight as the northeast to east low level flow
becomes southeast to south by Monday. Another area of deep
moisture is forecast to lift north-northwestward across south
Florida into the central Florida peninsula during Monday
afternoon and evening and this combined with daytime heating will
lead to a chance of showers, especially over the interior
counties.
For Tuesday the cold front associated with the trough will
approach bringing a chance of more showers ahead of it and
shifting the winds to a southwesterly direction. The boundary is
expected to move through Tuesday night and early Wednesday with
the chance of showers continuing until the cooler drier air moves
in behind it during Wednesday. The cool down will however be
rather short lived as high pressure slides quickly across the
southeast states Wednesday and out into the Atlantic Ocean
Thursday with the low level flow shifting to east and then
southeast bringing a quick moderating trend.
Late in the week into next weekend the next mid/upper level trough
will be moving across the central and eastern U.S. with its
associated cold front forecast to move through Friday night and
Saturday. Plenty of moisture will return ahead of this front to
bring another chance of showers for Friday into Saturday followed
by another cool down.

Largo, did you get any rain overnight? I had .15". Looking at CoCoRaHS reports a fair little line sliced through the center of the peninsula with .25 - .5" totals in NW Hillsborough and N Pinellas. Might have slid just a tad to your north.
