Good luck. I'm not seeing any warnings -- hopefully, sundown is helping you out.

Re: FLORIDA/ALABAMA AND THE HOLIDAY SEASON WEATHER
We are all good here in Levy County. Got 2.5" of rainfall, not enough to make the flooding worse. Tide came up in Cedar Key, but not enough to cause any major problems. Wind is definitely cranking this AM and temps are headed downward. Should be a nice, cool weekend with highs near 60 and lows in the mid 30's. Then we get a warm up for Christmas through New Year's. We should enjoy the short warm up however, as models are hinting at Jan/Feb being stormy with below normal temps (maybe well below normal depending how things shake out).

Re: FLORIDA/ALABAMA AND THE HOLIDAY SEASON WEATHER
Morning. Florida snow?? Too far out but something to check in the days ahead. Usually the moisture moves out before the column cools enough from top to bottom to allow flakes to fall. If nothing else maybe the cold January WD spoke of is on the way in a couple of weeks. I hate the cold! If it does get cold at least let it snow.

Re: FLORIDA/ALABAMA AND THE HOLIDAY SEASON WEATHER
Morning Largo. I've been here since 1997 and haven't seen a single snow flake. There have been several reports over the years but none fell at whatever location I was in at the time. I did experience sleet once driving home from work over the Buckman Bridge. Last year was oh so close. 35 degrees and a COLD rain. Many reports of snow just to my west. I'd have to go back and look but I think 1-3" may have fallen in the northern interior.

I was off. Most of it fell as ice although Tallahassee had their first measurable snow in 28 years. Here's a recap from NWS Tallahassee with some good info, graphics, and pictures.

Re: FLORIDA/ALABAMA AND THE HOLIDAY SEASON WEATHER
Hi everyone. Thanks for all of the updates.
Largo-only lengthy “cold snap” I recall is 2009-10 I think it was. It didn’t make it out of the 50’s for 2-3 weeks, which by South Florida standards is frigid. It was brutal watching our daughters soccers games.
That’s when all the non native snakes and iguanas died. So I hope it happens again, but I do feel for people that have expensive tropical plants.

Morning.
Yep, 2009/10 was a cold one. It got down to 18 degrees here one night. I lost my lemon tree that year but have since grown a new one.
A chilly 34 degrees here at the moment. I'm under a frost advisory. Still too dark to tell if there's any out there but I'm sure at a minimum the rooftops have a coating.
