SPC has a slight or marginal risk of severe thunderstorms for the panhandle and northern peninsula Sunday Saturday.  Straight line winds are the main hazard.  For any bettors, I submit a 1.01 betting line as to the number of screen panels that may get blown off my enclosure.

WD...stay alert and safe this weekend ok..hopefully just rain for us......................................NWS Tampa...Fri Apr 6 2018

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for West Central And Southwest
Florida.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

...FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
Some critically low humidity values below 35 percent can be
expected across interior sections of west central and southwest
Florida today during the afternoon. The low humidity values
combined with temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 80s
will contribute to extreme fire behavior. Outdoor burning is
not recommended.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
A cold front will approach from the northwest on Saturday. This
cold front will bring increasing chances for showers and
thunderstorms to the Nature Coast during the day, and across
the remainder of the region Saturday afternoon through Sunday
as the front sinks south into the region. At the present time
some of the storms could become severe across Levy and Citrus
counties on Saturday where a marginal risk of severe storms has
been posted with damaging winds and possibly a tornado or two the
main hazards. Across the remainder of west central and southwest
Florida chances for showers and isolated storms will increase
during Saturday afternoon as well with a period of unsettled
weather continuing on Sunday and into early next week as a series
of upper level disturbances and another cold front affect the
region. Storms that develop will be capable of producing strong
gusty winds, frequent lightning strikes, and locally heavy rains.
Remember if lightning is observed, or thunder is heard move
indoors immediately.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today.

NWS Melbourne..
The front is forecast to stall across south central Florida
Sunday then lift north as a warm front Monday, before pushing more
cleanly through the area by mid week. This will keep our weather
unsettled with a chance for beneficial rains early next week along
with lightning storms. While severe weather is not expected at
this time, gusty downburst winds and dangerous cloud to ground
lightning will be the primary threats.

Good morning. The HRRR (which I like to follow) isn't really bullish on much of anything through 11pm tonight for folks south of the FL/GA border for peninsular FL. It lights up gomey in south Alabama along with the western panhandle with about 1.5 - 3" It generally has some isolated pockets of .1 - .3" from around Sarasota northward.

NWS Melbourne...Sat Apr 7 2018

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Moisture and deep layer southwest flow will increase ahead of a
cold front. Above normal temperatures in the low levels will
combine with cold air aloft to produce instability and generate
scattered showers and isolated storms this afternoon into early
evening. A few strong storms are possible containing frequent
lightning strikes, downburst winds up to 50 mph and hail. An
isolated severe storm containing damaging winds near 60 mph will
be possible over Lake, Volusia, Seminole, Orange and north Brevard
counties. The time period of greatest threat will be from 3 to 7
pm. Storm motion will be toward the east northeast at 30 to 35
mph.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
A Moderate Risk of rip currents will exist at the beaches of east
central Florida. Always swim within sight of a lifeguard.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Fast moving showers and isolated storms will push toward the east
northeast at 30 to 35 mph and across portions of the intracoastal
and nearshore Atlantic waters this afternoon and early evening. A
few storms will be capable of producing wind gusts of 35 to 45
knots and frequent lightning strikes.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
Small craft should exercise caution over the Gulf Stream and
offshore Atlantic waters for south to southwest winds 15 to 20
knots today, becoming west at the same speeds tonight.

.FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
Continued dry vegetation and gusty southwest winds will contribute
to a High Fire Danger across portions of east central Florida. Any
new or existing fires will spread rapidly.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
A cold front is forecast to stall across south central Florida
Sunday then lift north as a warm front Monday, before finally
settling south of the area Wednesday. This will keep our weather
unsettled with a chance for beneficial rains early next week along
with lightning storms. While severe weather is not expected at
this time, gusty downburst winds and dangerous cloud to ground
lightning will be the primary threats.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are requested to monitor the weather and self activate
if needed.

stay alert folks.............repost..............................
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for West Central And Southwest
Florida.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
A cold front will approach from the northwest today. Increasing
moisture and instability within the warm sector ahead of the front
will lead to increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms over
the region during the day, with some of the storms possibly
becoming severe with damaging winds and hail. In addition some
locally heavy rain and frequent lightning will accompany the
storms. At the present time the best chances for severe storms
will be during the afternoon and early evening hours. Chances for
showers will continue across the region tonight as the front
settles into the area, with the risk of severe storms coming to
an end. Remember if lightning is observed or thunder is heard move
indoors immediately.

Aug stay alert and safe ok............DISCUSSION...Destabilization is slowly occurring ahead of a
pre-frontal convective band extending from the eastern FL Panhandle
into southern GA. Storms on the leading edge of this band have shown
relative strength at times with transient areas of rotation with
some of the cells. Other deepening showers are over northern FL
where temperatures are approaching 80 F.

Winds aloft will generally increase throughout the day, with
gradually veering low-level winds. The increasing speed shear should
maintain favorable hodographs supporting a few supercells, as well
as a few small bows. VWPs and forecast soundings generally indicate
effective SRH values on the order of 100-200 m2/s2 today.

this is on weather bug's site.......................Powerful thunderstorms will develop early this afternoon from the eastern Florida Panhandle to southern Georgia, with more multiplying and spreading south and east across northern and north-central Florida this evening. Before fading away soon after sunset, cities in the severe weather danger zone like Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Tallahassee, Fla., and Savannah, Ga., will be at risk for destructive winds reaching up to 60 mph. Large hail and an isolated tornado is possible too.

If you plan on spending any time outdoors, be on the lookout for rapidly changing skies and be sure to monitor local forecasts. Remember, if you encounter a water-covered roadway, be sure to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown” since the water could be much deeper than it appears.

in a storm front like this i always remeber...here it hasnt rained in a long time..and on the roadways..the oil has been sitting there..with the rains it will lift up, making the roads hazardous, in my early years this exact thing happened to me..boy i stepped on the brake and whoosh off i went..luckily no one was around me..from that day on..i always remember..slow down and take it easy
